Bio

Jensen Karp accidentally found himself with a million dollar record deal at age 19 under the moniker Hot Karl on Interscope Records, where he released songs with Kanye West, Redman, Fabolous, Mya and will.i.am. Since his time as a rapper, he’s went on to work in a number of professions that feed his creative needs in different ways, opening the pop culture art gallery Gallery1988 in 2003 and collaborating with properties like Breaking Bad, LOST and Star Wars on content and worldwide marketing campaigns. His passion for comedy has also lead him to writing credits on the ESPYs, The Late Late Show with James Corden, the Grammys, Candidly Nicole, WWE RAW, The MTV Movie Awards, The Howard Stern Show and at FunnyOrDie, where he created viral videos like the Live Read of Space Jam, casting Blake Griffin in the role of Michael Jordan, and #IAMSORRYTOO, where he rented an open space directly next door to Shia LaBeouf’s infamous performance art show and recreated it almost perfectly, but with actor Jerry O’Connell. He’s appeared on the award-winning web series “Burning Love,” and was a reoccurring character on the VH1 show “Barely Famous.” His memoir, “Kanye West Owes Me $300,” chronicling his childhood rap career, was released in 2016 by Random House /  Crown Publishing and he’s the Executive Producer (and writer), alongside James Corden, of the upcoming TBS television show, “Drop The Mic.”
